The chaos of the day passed. Damaged once more, the town of Karakura was mostly at peace again. The season of winter had finally made it's entrance. The skies were dark, dusk having settled over that part of the globe. Certain bars and shops still illuminating the city with their ever-present lights. The traffic had also slowed, but some cars were still there. People walking around here and there. It was rare to see such peace in a town quite like this. So late, no one noticed a little event happening above the skies of the town. A ripple of darkness opening in the obscure skies. From there appeared a single person, taking a peaceful look over the town. His face obscured by the hood of his large coat. Dressed in matching jeans, and a white shirt of black outlines. It was hard to tell what kind of a person it was. Especially since his spiritual influence was kept tightly in check. The person left out an amused snicker, allowing himself to fall down from the sky. Eventually making a clean landing on one of the higher apartments of the town. He took a quick look around, making sure no one was following him. Leaving out but a peaceful sigh.

"Hunh... I expected this town to be more hectic. Like it always is. Guess a little bit of peace is good every now and then", his sound was calm and peaceful, almost aloof. Full of charisma like it always was. But there wasn't anyone there to hear him. You could say it was a bit of a relief. There were times when he desired company, and times when he relished solitude. That was just the kind of person this being was. The faintest of smiles on his face, he began running forward, hands inserted in the pockets of his coat. It was obvious that he was no ordinary human. Having survived such a fall with ease, and now jumping from rooftop to rooftop. He was taking a look around the entire town systematically. As though he knew all the corners from before. Well, that wasn't too far off from the truth. This being had actually spent many years observing the events of this town in the past. Giving him a small momentary rush of nostalgia. Thoughts that he decided to set aside. He was searching for new experiences after all. Trying to cast away his usual boredom with the world.

The sprint of the male bringing him to the rooftop of the highest building of the outskirts of Karakura. It was rare to see high multi-story buildings so far out from the center of the town. Yawning, the moody one had walked to the edge of the building. Still keeping a hidden interest on events of the world below of him. There still were some people running around, hanging out and gradually returning to their homes. It was sleeping time for most after all. But this person in question was more of a night-time person himself. Now crouching down, the tips of his shoes almost reaching empty air. The wind was being quite harsh, and chilly too. Tugging at his coat. The loose edges flowing alongside of it. He brought his right hand up to his hood, trying to keep it in place. For some reason he always felt like keeping his face hidden. The faint smile on his face having turned into his usual frown. "It's always the same. Nothing ever seems to change. Now then, what should I do tonight", he spoke with a silent tone and a slightly ironic tone, pondering what he could do to keep himself in good moods. The way these worlds always seemed so unchanging always managed to bore this male.

Why send me onto this mission in the middle of winter?..taicho keeps finding ways of annoying me... She had been assigned a mission to track down a couple of bounts in the outskirts of Karakura, normally a smaller squad would had been send, but since she had just recently gotten promoted to lieutenant, her captain had assigned her the mission as a test of her work. At first, Kemiko was just thinking he was joking, she was a member of the Hijami house, one of the highest ranking noble families in soul society, known for their skilled zanpaktou use, there was no way he would assign her to this kind of low difficulty mission. He had looked her straight in the eyes and repeat the mission, making it clear for her that he had been serious. Being a former seated officer of the eleventh division meant she was used to working in the fields, giving her an advance when working solo.

Kemiko stopped in front of the glass door leading out to the almost lifeless street, a few humans and cars passing by now and then. She looked at the mirror and observed herself, the twelve division had gotten better in making artificial bodies over the decades, it looked identical to her own body. Kemiko had smooth skin with a neutral pale look to it, a soft formed face with some sharp features the right places, and finally a curvy body and a well formed chest. Kemiko didn`t put much of an effort into her looks, but she had managed to maintain her some-what attractive figure over the years. She was wearing some gray sneakers, black jeans that allowed movement, a red belt, a gray sweatshirt with a black tank top under it, and finaly a knee long coat that was closed from the neck to the hips, allowing her free movement with her legs. She was wearing some black gloves that hugged her lower arm, meaning she easily could grab around things. Her blood red hair was pulled into a low, loose ponytail that reached a few inches under her knees, the chest long bangs being left loose in order to frame her face. As she pushed the glass door open, the chilly wind blew in and caused her long hair and coat to whirl around her in a little "dance", something it would do every time even the slightest movement of wind came.

Kemiko had just come out of the building when she saw a cloaked figure jumping onto the top of the roof she had just walked out of. No one seemed to notice him, despite some was looking in the direction that he had jumped in, meaning that regular human`s could`t see him. Kemiko noticed he was looking down at the street, was he planning a attack, resting or simply observing? The artificial body was masking her reaitsu, which was already limited to 20% of its normal strength due to the restriction that was put on anyone of lieutenant rank or higher whenever they entered the human world, even if he looked down at her and noticed she could see him, he would most likely think she was just an regular spiritual aware human, which wasen`t rare in this town.

With a light sigh, she buried her hands into the pockets in the coat, lowered her head slightly and began to walk down the street. She turned left and entered one of the nearby ally ways, lifting her "cellphone", out from her inner pocket. [i]"..This is Hijami Kemiko, lieutenant of the eight division...i have spotted a spiritual being with human form near district 47...i will investigate the being, it could be harmless..", "understood, Hijami-sama". Kemiko closed the phone again and looked up at the roof of her building, narrowing her yellow eyes at the hooded figure.

Ah. Such a silent night it was turning out to be. Was it really peace that he had been looking for after all? Just being all alone minding his business without ever doing anything worth mention really was a bore. At the very least he would have to find something to keep him occupied. Or perhaps a person he could share the loneliness with. A silent snicker escaped through his lips, covered up by the winds. The thought proved amusing. He wasn't a very romantic person despite his hidden depths, that was for sure. This thought managed to keep him amused for a short while, as he swayed around a little on the roof. Humming a certain song that he had performed earlier that day. Yet, all of his sounds were constantly covered up by the winter winds. Soon enough he grew bored of this. The town really seemed uneventful now. Perhaps he should start looking for something different. Taking a quick look around. Up and down, and to his sides. Observing all the possibilities. Noticing two strange things that caught his eyes. His frown turning into the faintest of smiles.

First off, he noticed the most eye-catching of people. A woman down on the streets, talking on her cellphone. He had no idea who or what she was, he just knew that blood red hair was not something you would see every day with people. Sure, there were cosplayers around. But only rarely did they have such an attractive body. Something that caught his curiosity. But there was something else. Hiding in the shadows of the street opposite to her. He could see it faintly, one of those stronger standard hollows that plagued Karakura. Hiding through a bare invisibility spell. Hollows like that were hard to track down, even by pros. But his eyes always caught on to hidden treasures. Smirking, the male now stood up. Stretching around, his knuckles now cracking loudly. Perhaps barely alarming the female below. Hands inserted into the pockets of his coat once more. The male jumped off, right towards the Hollow. It wasn't apparent to others yet, but the situation was quite amusing. An Arrancar, taking down one of those who were directly below of him, Hollows. Alarmed, the howling beast turned visible. Too late, as the foot of the fighter already smashed through its head. Twisting around in the air, the male had roundhouse kicked the beast. His reiatsu still tightly suppressed, yet his own power completely overwhelming it. Somersaulting once or twice while still in the air, the male now landed, hood still hiding his face, and hands inserted into his pockets.

It was dangerous to stand around on the road, but he didn't mind. There were no cars passing through anymore. His disposition showed contempt with the beast that was taken care of so easily. Standing up straight while shaking his head, a barely audible sigh heard. His trail of thought remaining hidden for now. He did have a motivation for doing what he did, a motivation which remained unexplained. Now then. His interest shifted once more, the cloaked head turning around. The male took a look towards the red haired female around his shoulder. Showing a faint amount of curiosity, yet an aura of aloofness. His face remained mostly shadowed, apart from his lips. Showing his usual look. While he was anything but sad in the inside, the look on his face was mostly a negative one. His face now barely down to the usual frown. Turning on his heels, he began returning towards the building. A car passed by the place where he once stood. Now on the road. He was making plans for leaving. Silent, without yet speaking, preparing to turn around. Yet a certain suspense kept him from leaving the area just yet. Perhaps he was waiting for something?

As he was about to turn around, the light sound of feet hitting the ground softly was heard, followed by a female voice speaking in a direct manner with a soft undertone to it. "Fast movements you have there....". The woman with the blood red hair had appeared in front of him, her hands still buried in the pockets of her jacket. Even through there was around 10 feet between them, it was clear that he was around a half head taller than her, it didn´t mean she was small, actually she seemed to have the height of a 19-20 year old. Her face, unlike her voice, was devoided of emotiones, her lips being firmly closed. There was two ways that the woman had gotten over to him on mere seconds, either she was a quinzy or a shinigami, due to her apperance the last was most likely. Since her reaitsu was fully masked, it was impossibol to say what rank she was...she could be a low seated officer or maybe a captain?

Kemiko observed the hooded male with a raised eyebrow, taking in the few feautues of his face she could see. Due to his body structure and clothing style, he appeared to be early in his twenties. As the wind began to pick up, her bangs begang to blow around her face once more. Kemiko reached up and held a hand against the left side of her hair, keeping the left bang from blocking her view, the other hand remainning in the pocket. He didn`t seem to be in the mood to fight, and he had taken out the hollow who Kemiko had heard the roar of as he disposed of it.

"All alone out here in the middle of the night..makes you appear suspicious ya know..". Kemiko never took her eyes of him, in fact she looked directly into the darkness of the hood, hoping that she could get more of his face to see. Kemiko didn`t really know why she had chosen to talk to him, he seemed like he was about to leave..or thinking about it at least. The wind around them began to settle down a bit, only for a brief time through.

The male hidden under the coat had kept his head down, looking towards the ground. Certain voices gathering his attention once more. He knew the voice of that swift step, having heard it a couple of times before. Now lifting his head up once more, showing that he was focused on the female once more. Underneath the shadow of the hood, he took a moment to analyze her form closer. The jeans, coat and all, it was fairly normal stuff, though still quite stylish in his opinion. His interest focused on two of her features. That unusual red hair of his, so well taken care of too. And a familiar looking sword she held. A little amused by this, he himself held quite a long sword by his side as well. Currently hidden by that long coat of his. Judging by her features, she wasn't an Arrancar. And since it was obvious that she could see him... There really were only two options for the answer of this mystery. His mind already having settled on the most likely answer. Now this was an amusing situation. Seems like he had made contact with one of those many of his kind preferred calling enemies. Of course. There were other options too. He could always be sadly mistaken.

Never once did he flinch, despite his surprise at the fact she decided to appear right in front of him. It was a part of his hidden depths. Instead, his frown turned up to a small smirk once more. Such an uncaring face, yet a voice that showed him certain emotions. It would be only polite to provide her with some answers. So, he stayed still, instead keeping eye contact with her from behind the darkness of his hood. "Well thank you for the compliment. I'm just your average spirit passing by. And who might you be, my fair lady?" his voice, while deep, had a certain tone of gentleness to it as well. This time coming off as warm and charismatic. It showed that he was completely comfortable with this situation. He didn't mind getting his way cut off by the female. Most likely a Shinigami, perhaps something else. He had no way of knowing unless she told him herself, or did something characteristic of such a being. In his past, he had met these beings before. Mostly on the run from them, and at certain times, having some secret conversations.

He really didn't feel like bothering himself with further fighting that day. He only disposed of the Hollow earlier because he got bad vibes from it. Judging by its body language, the being was about to go on a rampage. And that was something he didn't want at the moment, quite uncharacteristic of a being such as himself. You could say that he was a different one. There exist all kinds of people in a world as vast as this after all. Now then. It seems like he made contact with someone he hadn't seen before. Perhaps this could be a chance to get to know other people better. Up until now he had been quite a solitary person after all. "Mind I ask, how about you? What could someone like you be doing out on a silent night such as this?" his voice remained unchanged from before. An odd sense of familiarity contained within it. His eyes were locked into hers that whole time. He knew that it was a part of polite conversation. Letting the others around of you know you were paying attention to them. His hands were no longer inserted into his pockets. But he still kept his hood on. A sense of mystery over the being. Then again, he felt a similar aura of mystery around of her as well.

Kemiko raised her eyebrow slightly as he answered her in a warm and gentle voice, calling her a fair lady. If it haden`t been for her skill to suppress her emotions, she would most likely had smiled amused over being called a "fair lady". Even through she was raised in one of the four noble families, and she was a vice captain, didn`t mean she was a "lady". Kemiko had never seen herself as a girly lady who drank tea and chattered with other female shinigami about boys, of cause she drank tea but the rest she had left out. Kemiko had always wondered how she came to be as she was now, maybe it was her past in the eleventh division who had taught her the "dark", side of life.

"No average spirit would be able to move like that...its very rude to lie into the open face of someone, isen`t it?", she said in a more emotionless tone, the soft undertone remaining. Kemiko buried her left hand into her pocket again, clutching her fingers around her shinigami badge. This male didn`t show any sign of wanting to attack her, but you never knew if his calm appearance just was an act. The male then asked what she was doing out here in the middle of the night, he was really cheap, wasen`t he?

"What i am doing here is none of your businesses...but if i tell you i`m a shinigami, you can probably already figure out what i`m doing here...i`ll give you a little hint to help through...its not about hunting hollows". She didn`t really mind having a small talk like this, even through the person she was talking with haden`t shown his face yet. "Now, since you asked a question and i answered, its only fair if i ask one and you answer, isen`t it?". A brief smile came across her slightly parted lips, sooting up her emotionless face a bit, making her appear more harmless. Kemiko didn`t believe that he was something dangerous, maybe just a spiritual aware human who was a bit lonely? If he had been a bount of high ranking, he would most likely already have recognized her, recently she had been killing a lot of bounts and gained quite a reputation among them. Kemiko didn`t really let it bother her when the bounts she encounted began to talk about how they had heard of her and such, she had been used to it all her life among the shinigami. Kemiko was the only double wielder that had appeared in the past 100 years, making her quite special among the other shinigami.

The female before of him didn't seem very expressive. That is why Hao had decided to keep an even closer look on her expressions. Even the faintest of changes could give him a hint at what his unlikely companion held inside of her. The one thing that the being found most interesting about humans, was how they acted on the outside and how they truly were inside. Basically figuring out what made them tick. But he wasn't merely doing it out of such crude reasons. Rather, he wanted to understand them better. An eyebrow was raised, perhaps a subtle remark at his earlier words. Perhaps he managed to amuse the lady? A funny thought, he was serious about his earlier statement. So long as she seemed nice and all, he treated females with the proper respect and manners. It was only natural he'd call someone of her stature a fair lady. In a way, getting to observe a new acquaintance up close made him somewhat happy. It sure was a change from the anti-social tendencies of the beings of his home realm. You could say it was refreshing for him. His eyes wandered somewhere away for a while, a brief daydream, returning almost immediately as he heard her talking.

Apparently she thought that what he said earlier was a lie. In a sense that was true. He certainly wasn't one of the normal spirits of Karakura passing through that was for sure. But then again, right now, he did sort of view himself as the average. He wasn't out on business after all. Rather taking his time and enjoying some sights. He already felt like making a short remark, but figuring by her disposition, she had more to say. He shifted his balance a bit to his right left, having tired out his left one if only slightly. Taking care to listen to the changes in her voice. There weren't that many to notice. While she had a soft and pleasant sound to her, the tone of her voice was mostly void of emotion. Sort of reminding him of certain people he knew himself. Her next statement wasn't something entirely unexpected. It was only right that she was a bit curious herself. Yet, the brief smile she gave out was more of a surprise. Perhaps she was actually enjoying having a small talk, even though they hadn't made much progress yet. He thought about it, deciding it was only right now that he also had acquired some information on him. Besides. He didn't really care that much about who knew his origins and face. Holding the hood up was more of a habit of his.

He left out a soft sigh, one with no sounds of negativity behind of it. His left arm held up, reaching for his face. The male nodded his head backwards, pulling his hand up at the same time. Basically removing his hood in a fluid motion. Locks of dark hair falling over his forehead and the sides of his head. His eyes briefly glaring up towards the sky, at the stars, before he nodded his head forward again. His features rather unique to the eye, yet not in a bad way. Most of his hair was of a dark, black color and quite spiky. But towards his side he had slight hues of the darkest of red, and a few flocks of white upper above. His optics were of a highly unusual yellow color, almost translucent in a way. His look, while mostly unchanging, could be described as piercing. But one feature must have stood up for her the most. There was a formation of bone directly under his right eye, almost looking like a decoration. There was only a single race with features like this. Right now, it was almost obvious that he was an Arrancar.

"Sorry about that. I didn't quite mean to lie to you or anything like that. It's just that I don't consider myself to be anything that special. There are always certain things grander than us out there..." his tone was actually deeper than before, adding more impact to the whole big reveal. Right now, he was speaking in his natural tone. Deep, perhaps a bit lonesome, yet charismatic and somewhat inviting. His actions showed no signs of offensive behavior at all. Rather, he was being surprisingly friendly with the Shinigami. He took a relaxed look up towards the sky. Mapping out the stars in his mind. Bring his head level, starting eye contact with the female again. "A being of the realm of emptiness and a resident of heaven. How unusual. My best guess is, you're here to protect the balance of the spiritual words. Controlling the flow or so to speak. Perhaps hunting for dangerous elements, other than the Hollows. I don't know that much about how the system works", he said in a nonchalant tone, shrugging towards the end. He was certainly knowledgeable, but it was obvious that he didn't know that much about the Soul Society itself.

After Kemiko had spoken her words, a pleasant silence fell over the two. Despite he was hooded and she was wearing a fake body, concealing her reaitsu and true appearance, the air felt rather light between them, was it fate that had wanted them to meet or simply their curiosity that had brought them together? Whatever it was, they spoke to each other with such relaxed manners that it sounded like they had known each other for years, yet they had just meet. Kemiko noticed that her fingers was clutching the shinigami badge, hidden in her pocket, slightly looser...was she relaxed, maybe happy over finding some company on such a cold, beautiful night?

Kemiko could feel her blood red hair hit against her back softly, making small thuds as they bumed against her coat. She didn`t really know why she had let it grow this long, all of the members in the eleventh division had short hair so it would`t get in the way when they fought their enemies, yet she had grown her`s long while in the division. She laid her head slightly back and let her eyes run across the night sky, wandering into her own thoughts. She was broken out of her "trance", when she heard the sound of something being pulled down, which was hard due to the picking wind. Focusing her gaze onto the male in front of her, she instantly began to take mental notes of his appearance. Even through Kemiko never had been the big "male-hunter", she could`t deny that he didn`t look half bad, he was attractive in his own way. For some reason, his looks reminded her a bit of herself, a haircut and color that stood out and mysterious eyes you could spend a life time on figuring out.

"..That`s true, thats true....we are just the pawns that can be scarificied in order for the "greater", once to live...". Kemiko locked her eyes onto the bone fragment on his jaw, finding herself clutching the shinigami badge tightly and raising her shoulders. Kemiko quickly dropped her shoulders again and gave him a small smile in case he had thought she would attack him. Kemiko would`t raise her hand against a stranger unless they attacked her, anyone innocent or she was ordered to. Kemiko`s personality when it came to fighting made it hard to belive she was a former seated officer in the combat division, but it only made her more unique.

"Good guess...its correct of cause...hunting and killing beings that the captain commander or council sees as a threat towards soul society or the safety of the humans and souls is all we pretty much do...". Kemiko took a few steps towards him and took her right hand out of the pocket, holding it towards him. Since she was wearing gloves her hand`s could`t be seen, but since they were tight it could be seen that she had slender fingers, that most likely were soft.

"...An introduction should be in place, else this conversation would end quickly....I`m Hijami Kemiko..". The fact that she didn`t state her rank or what division she was from, probably meant that she didn`t seen him as a threat, her next words confirmed this. "If your curios about my rank or anything else, you can ask....when meeting new people in my.."free time", i usually keep it to name only, but i won`t let you have questions fill up your head".

Truth to be told, the male himself was feeling a tad bit curious. He had met certain Shinigami before, even a single memorable case in his past, but never had he held a proper conversation with one before. Yet, this curiosity wasn't reflected in his eyes. The optics more focused on her judging her subtle reactions. And at times surveying his surroundings, perhaps vary of whatever souls might lurk around. But he was still calm and collected, his mind now at ease. The earlier silence having left her in what seemed like a short daydream of her own. Maybe she was actually enjoying the situation herself? Having yet to see any negative reactions from the Shinigami standing before of him, he was almost certain this was the case. He wasn't the kind of person to jump to conclusions though. Then again, he had to admit, he found some of her features rather attractive as well. The first thing one would pay attention to was of course her hair. Most likely followed by her eyes and face. From there going down over her entire stature. You could say that she could even be considered beautiful.

He noticed that the female repeated herself a little. Either wondering about what to say or slightly staggering to get the words out. It was most likely the latter, judging by the way she had acted up until now. There was some truth to her words, yet he found them quite cynical and sad in ways. Then again, his views on reality were often much the same, as much as he disliked the system. But there was no use in overthinking things just yet. One could get lost in an eternal trance figuring out the rights and wrongs of this world. It was best to just focus on the moment, being there right now, so long as they weren't engaging in a philosophical conversation. Anyways, it seemed like his guess wasn't too far off. His knowledge of the Shinigami was quite high in a way. Though most of the things he knew about them, he had read from the ancient records of Las Noches. The spirits of the past had kept records on their antibodies after all. Shinigami and Arrancars. Two races most often thought of as sworn enemies. Yet it seemed like she was a tad bit different from the usual. She was actually accepting his presence without any signs of rejection. And it was quite much the same for him.

A hand was hold out towards him. This sudden gesture came as a slight surprise, his eyes opening wider if only little. A closer look at the hand revealing she also had some slender features to her. It could be a sign of slightly closer acquaintance, and mutual peace. The prospect proved positive, yet one couldn't figure it out from the look on his face. Just like the female before of him, he wasn't that expressive of a person. But a motion could be seen. The male removed his hands from the pockets of his coat. In particular, his right hand making some slithery motions. Removing his own black glove. He held his arm out slowly, with a gentlemanly elegance yet a confident motion. The offering of a hand usually meant the intentions of shaking hands. An invitation which he had no intentions of refusing. His own hand, fitting size to his tall stature, softly yet tightly taking grasp of hers. He shook hands with her briefly, before doing a surprising motion. It was so swift, most couldn't realize what had happened until only afterwards. The male had kneeled down, if only for a single moment, and placed a quick peck upon the tips of her fingers. Having closed his eyes while doing this gesture. Returning to his former stance in an instant.

"So your name is Kemiko... Hm, pleased to make your acquaintance. My name is Aokami Hao", he introduced himself in the traditional Japanese way. His voice remaining mostly the same as before. Showing a surprising amount of familiarity with her by skipping the formalities. The way he acted, it seemed as though that small gentlemanly gesture didn't change his way of thinking one bit. He was taking it calm and collected, the same as ever. Deciding it was time for him to continue with the conversation. There was something he felt like saying after all. "Ranks and such, they don't hold much meaning to me. It's all about what the people are themselves, and what they hide inside", his way of speaking was as deep as ever. His optics having locked into hers once more. "I want to see the potential hidden away in everything. It seems like I have a tendency of finding hidden treasures", his words were placed carefully, revealing a bit about himself, yet still keeping up an aura of mystery. The faintest of smiles finally entirely visible on his face. Perhaps he was hinting at something. A hidden sign of approval.

Kemiko observed as he took off his glove and shaked her still gloved hand with a firm grab, even his handshake felt like her own. As he knelled down, she felt a small but sudden jolt of muscles in her left leg. He then kissed her hand briefly, his lips feeling oddly warm against her leather gloves..if he handed kissed her hand and quickly returned to his former stance, she would have kicked him in reflex, or at least attemped to. Being a woman, or at least a grown up girl, she had some neutral reflexes that kicked in everytime someone she didn`t know well got to close, those reflexes had become stronger and quicker over her years as a shinigami. With a light sigh she slided her hand back into her pocket, looking up only to be meet by his gaze.

"..I`m glad to see you don`t use formatilities...i usually dislike being called by my last name...", she said with yet another brief smile running across her slightly parted lips. "Then...Hao-san, i`m pleased to meet you as well...". Even through the smile had disappeared from her face, you could tell by her lowered shoulders and less narrowed eyes, that she was relaxing more. Kemiko remained silent as he finished speaking, taking in every word without removing her eyes from his face. "A tendency of finding hidden treasurs huh?", she repeated out loud, allowing yet anthoder small smile to briefly appear on her lips. "If only all arrancar were as intresting as you, Hao-san, then-".

She was cut off by a beeping sound comming from her right pocket, it sounded like something from a cellphone. With a sigh that sounded almost annoyed, she reached down, picked up the cellphone and held it against her ear. "Hello?...yes this is lieutenant Hijami Kemiko of the eight division, try to relax yourself and speak clearly..". Her shoulders rose slightly and she seemed to be clutching around something in her left pocket, it was clear that the call was important. Kemiko looked at the ground as she listened to the words of the twelve division officer. After a few minutes, she ended the call with a small nod and buried the phone back into her pocket, looking at Hao.

"Hao-san, this may seem a bit sudden, but could you look after my body for a minute or two? One of my targets has been located nearby".

Hao had noticed his female companion tensing up a little at his actions, his smile lasting at least slightly longer due to this. He knew he went a little out of bounds there, being so spontaneous and all. But that was also a part of his persona. Calm as he was, he always went with the direction where his tail pointed, and where the winds threw him. His faint smile was actually a bit apologetic due to this. As if faintly saying sorry for surprising her. So, he returned his hands to his side, completely resuming his former stance. It was sort of weird. There they were, having small talk while just standing around. Without caring about the things that happened around of them. Then again, it was a peaceful evening, one fit for spending some time away from all the conflict. It seemed like his call of skipping the formalities was the right one. Kemiko seemingly didn't like all the tight formalities of the Japanese culture after all. She seemed somewhat sophisticated too with her hair and all. A silly thought crossing his mind. Maybe she was tired of people never getting close enough to her. He dismissed this thought, knowing that one should never draw conclusions too quickly.

He found her reactions rather interesting to view. A lack of contact with females during his days of wandering around as an Arrancar most likely. Certain phrases catching his interest and curiosity even more so than the others. For starters, he was glad to see that she was gradually getting more relaxed. He himself had stood up firm, yet in a relaxed pose that whole time. Showing how he was comfortable even while conversing with someone from the other side of the boundary. But now his curiosity began expressing itself. He had tilted his head to the left, as if curiously questioning what she was about to say. Showing more interest, despite his rarely changing expression. "Hmh? If only Arrancars were...?" his voice expressed more curiosity than before, yet it seemed like his question was slightly cut off. The beeping coming from her pocket interrupting their friendly little chat. His eyes now wandering towards the source of the voice. It came from a cellphone, apparently one of the more important tools Shinigami used for communication.

It was now more obvious that she had at least somewhat enjoyed their meeting. The sound of her voice barely changing to show his slight discontent with how things went. Yet, one of his suspicions was confirmed in the meanwhile. It seemed as though his eyes glimmered with faint excitement for a single instant, amused by the confirmation of what went inside of his heard. So she really is one of the stronger Shinigami. I knew I saw something special in her... the faint smile restored over his face. He knew his eyes were still as good as ever. But as he said, he didn't care about ranks. What he saw was something more than mere power. A gift, raw potential that could be turned into something else. Now, while he was doing some thinking, it seemed like Kemiko had finished her call. A sudden request. Now this was surprising. The look of his eyes turned more neutral and wider, looking gentler than it usually did. He nodded once, settling down his surprise before deciding to speak up. "Yeah. I will try to look after your body with care. It's a promise", he spoke with a softer tone than before, nodding her to go on with her business. He didn't quite expect the female to show this much trust in him. Especially since they were of such opposing races too.

As he agreed to watch over her fake body, the female let out a light sigh and returned his faint smile slightly. "..Thanks, if i were to loose anthoder body the technical research department would`t forgive me...". Her face seemed to soften up for a brief moment, indicating that the her history with the reseach department amused her slightly. She pulled her left hand out of the pocket, her shinigami badge being located between her fingers. The shinigami bage had a diamond shape to it, had a skull on the middle and a 10 inch long ribbon exstending from it, probably there so the badge could be tied to something. Kemiko walked over to him and closed the gab between them by laying her left arm over his neck, looking up at him. Despite the sudden contact between the two, she didn`t blush at all and her face revealed that she had gotten serious. "Try to find some cover nearby, you never know if the bount tries to attack you-", "a arrancar and a shinigami...this world has really changed over the past 100 years..".

Kemiko turned her head slightly upwards and located the source of the voice. A man standing 6.2 dressed in a black suit, white gloves and black shoes, was looking down at them from a fire escape staircase located on the side of a building. His dark red eyes was gazing at the shinigami badge in Kemiko`s hand through his neck long brown hair, he had most likely found out about their races by looking at the badge and at Hao`s mask fragment. "Take cover..". Just as Kemiko spoke the words, she pressed the shinigami badge against her chest, her fake body going limp. Kemiko "sprung", out from the fake body, her eyes narrowed at the bount.

Her shinigami attire was the standard one, the only change was that the sleeves was slightly more body-hugging than the usual uniform, and that the uniform had been split into two. The upper part stopped around 5 inches under her chest and had a V cut that caused the very top of her cleavage to be shown, it wasen`t really revealing considering how low some of the other shinigami woman wore their uniform. The lower part started at her waist and was held up by a narrow white obi that was tied at the front, leaving her belly and lower back exposed. A dark red zanpaktou holster was hanging on her lower back, the tip of the red hilt sticking out from her left hip. A second zanpaktou holster in the same color was hanging across her back, the tip of the handle pointing out from her right shoulder. The two holsters was connected by a red cord running across her chest. Her red hair was now pulled back slightly by a flat crown-alike figure in bronze, the bangs still being left loose to frame her face.

"Two zanpaktou`s and blood red hair...thats how my fellow brothers and sisters describe the shinigami that has been hunting us down like we were mere animals...", the bount said as he pulled his hand out from the darkness of his pocket, revealing a whip in his hand. "Price yourself lucky, my lady...i have respect for someone with your power, i will give you a fast death...". Kemiko simply narrowed her eyes at the bount, drew the zanpaktou from her shoulder and took a fighting stance. Based on her stance, it became clear that she was a skilled swords woman.

PostSubject: Re: Vanity   Vanity EmptyTue Nov 16, 2010 8:01 am

Kemiko certainly managed to keep her interest up. It seemed like the evening was about to get more eventful, a change of pace that wasn't actually such a bad thing. That was what he always searched and longed for, a change from the same old same old. Giving off a silent, yet amused snicker at her comment about the research department. That's right he had almost forgotten. Shinigami too had their scientists working on new technologies over time. He should have known better, once having his own experiences with a certain serpent. But the look on his face had returned to how it usually was. Some could even call it serious, if they weren't trying to figure out his hidden depths. Rather, it was his very aura that had changed to mark that the situation was getting more tense. He nodded towards the Lieutenant, preparing for what was to come. Her instructions cut off by the voice of a male suddenly ringing out somewhere from above. His eyes flickering upwards, taking a quick look at who they were dealing with. A very formally dressed male commenting at them. It was obvious that he was out on business. Could this be the target she was talking about.

As the situation started getting developments at a rapid pace, his new companion was also quick to react. The female telling him to take cover, before pressing herself with the mark of the Shinigami. Her soul quite literally tore apart from the body, now falling limp towards his form. Having prepared for this, Hao brought his right arm around below the body's arms, holding it tightly yet gently around her upper abdomen. His left arm going around her legs. If the situation was a bit different, it might be even considered a cute scene. A male cradling a female in his arms. While it didn't show, he was somewhat interested by the situation. So this is what they call a faux body, huh... he thought, intrigued by all the precautions the Shinigami were taking. He himself took a look around his shoulder, towards the spiritual body of Kemiko. "Take care", he gave her a couple of words of support before vanishing. A static blur that passed in an instant. His sonido being quite fast. Taking him right through the street, towards the nearest opening. A small park for kids to play in, and the people to enjoy their days. A single bench resting right in front of one of the larger trees.

Hao set the faux body of the Shinigami down on the bench, letting it lay on it peacefully. The head taking a momentary rest on his lap. He first took a closer look at it's face, before returning his eyes toward the actual female. Her appearance much the same, apart from her custom uniform and the crown-like ornament around her hair. Basically looking a bit fiercer and more ready for combat. Yet still as attractive as ever. She looks like a fairly skilled fighter. I trust she can take care of it alone, he thought, judging by her stance and the way she moved. Whatever the male was, it was apparent that she had been hunting his companions for quite a while. Now then. While he was supposed to look after her body, like he promised to. He had an uneasy feeling. For a while now, something had been bugging him. You could call it instinct. The ears of the male twitching. "You can come out now. No use in hiding if I can still hear you", he was channeling his deeper side, the voice of his sound a bit chilly, almost deadly serious.

From around the street, snickering could be heard. A single male stepping out from behind the back alley. A dangerously amused smirk on his face. Truth to be told, it wasn't mere sound Hao found him out for. It was sheer killing intent. The male was dressed in a semi-formal white shirt, a brown vest on top of it. His jeans and sneakers dark in color. Curved bangs falling on both sides of his face, with only little hair covering his forehead. Dyed in a teal color. Hidden by the hair, piercings on his ears. The color of his eyes hard to make out despite the light of the street light. He held his arms out, still snickering despite being found out. Most likely obvious. "My, my~ I thought I had disguised myself perfectly. How did you find out so easily?" the guy who gave out these bad vibes now taking a bow. He was getting the same eerie feeling about him that he got from the finely dressed man who he saw earlier. Suddenly, a lizard-like creature made out of what seemed like some glimmering mineral shooting up from behind the male. Rushing along its way towards Kemiko.

The male sighed, standing up as he tried to lay the body's head down softly on the bench. Pulling off his coat. Revealing his entire form. Underneath it, he wore collared shirt of a silverish hue and black outlines. The collar held up on purpose. The bottom part of the shirt opening around his waist, giving it a nice look and flow. He let go of his coat letting it fall on the body, yet without covering her face. Just to keep it warm in the cold early-winter night. "You reek of killing intent", he gave off a nonchalant remark, before starting to move. Without wasting anymore time, the male disappeared in yet another sonic blur, appearing above the main street, right in front of the basilisk-like beast. A simple kick sending it hurling down. Yet, due to it's immense weight, it only flew five meters before hitting the land. Tch. Felt like I was hitting steel, he thought, making an elegant landing himself. The beast and it's 'owner' mostly unphased. Rubbing his neck like it was nothing, he took a cold look towards the unknown male. "Two against one doesn't seem fair when there is another fighter there too. Come. I will play with you", his invitation quick and simple. His fighting seemed rather unusual, for he wasn't taking upon any form of a stance. Merely standing there, gauging the movements and actions of his foe.

"...You to..", was the words that the female shinigami whispered to herself as Hao disappeared to a nearby park two blocks away, along with her faux body. Normally, she would never had entrusted her faux body to a arrancar, yet for some reason she had entrusted Hao with it...he was different from the arrancar`s she had heard and meet, so maybe that was why. With a light sigh, she focused her eyes onto the formally dressed bount again, feeling her heat beat rise slightly...it had been awhile since she last had been in battle, she only hoped that the bount would be easy enough so that her restriction would`t have to be released...it was always bothersome to call up the research department to get permission for it.

"Such an angry look...a young lady like you should know how to behave towards the adults...", the bount said, his face being devoided of emotion. "An introduction should be in its place..I`m Lucifer Lancaster...i shall take your life tonight, my lady..". Lucifer raised his arm with the whip and swung it down towards her, the head of the whip turning into a snake head. Kemiko lifted her drawn zanpaktou, causing the mouth of the snake to hit against the blade insteed of her neck. Lucifer drew his arm back, causing the "snake-whip", to draw back up to him. The snake rolled its head around the shoulder of the bount, looking down at Kemiko while hissing slightly. "I don`t like that lady, Lucifer-sama...can i eat her?", "Of cause you can, my darling..".

Before Lucifer or Kemiko could reach to attack, they both turned their attention towards the basilisk-alike doll that was rushing towards Kemiko, only to be stopped by a kick from Hao. "I am sorry for all the mess that..."he", is creating...he has always been abit to earger when it came to killing something..", Lucifer said, refering to the less formally dressed bount who owened the large and heavy doll. Based on the hate full tone that Lucifer just had spoken with, Kemiko asumed that the two bounts most likely knew each other. "Reminds me a bit of myself..", she said in a small, brief smile that rushed accros her lips.

Kemiko lifted her hand and held it towards the direction of the basalisk head, using her other, that was holding the zanpaktou, to block Lucifer`s attacks with the whip. "Way of destruction number 32, red flame cannon!". A ball of red reaitsu appeared in the hand pointing towards the head of the basilisk-alike doll. The ball shoot out from the hand at a good speed, traveling towards the head fast. Kemiko doubted that the kido would be enough to kill the doll, but she hoped it would either damage it a little or serve as a distraction so Hao could attack.

PostSubject: Re: Vanity   Vanity EmptyTue Nov 16, 2010 12:08 pm

Now that he had repelled. That thing. It was about time to take a look and re-evaluate the situation. Know your enemy, then attack is what they say. While his kick really didn't do much visible damage to the body of the beast, it seemingly still had a feeling of sense. Shaking its head in pain. An effort to dismiss the shock and return to the battlefield. It seemed like the man behind of the beast, 'the puppet master', was not a fighter himself. Rather standing back with an amused grin on his face. So the opponent he would have to worry about was the basilisk thingy itself. The situation certainly proved interesting. While the male was in no mood to fight a long battle, it was a rare chance to observe an unique race at work. The only threatful elements to souls, other than Hollows, were mostly members of a single group that had gained more attention as of late. The mysterious group that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Beings even he hadn't seen for his own eyes before. Bounto, they were called as a whole. He had only heard rumors and read about them from certain records locked tightly in the main library.

While the enemy was flinching, Hao took a look towards his far right. His eyes taking a gaze at the one who had dressed in a formal manner. The male having revealed his name. So his name was Lucifer. A minor fact that held only little worth in a combat situation such as this. Something about the Japanese code of honor. Revealing ones name to your opponents. A silly, yet much respected tradition. His eyes shifting back towards the one with the teal hair. The male now holding back a smug snicker. At least he was taking the beating of his lizards quite well. While the other seemed emotionless, the other was a bit more on the manic side. What a contradictory team. "Aw, don't complain Luci~ I know you like creating a mess yourself every now and then. Let's try to enjoy our revenge, shall we? Go, Steinechse, attack!" he shouted out, actually sounding a bit hyper. He really was enjoying this too much. The lizard of stone, as it was named in German, buckled up and attempted throwing itself forward again. Missing a single glimmer of red.

An orb of red shot forward from somewhere behind of the Arrancar. The very reason he stopped his progress, having noticed Kemiko's chant just in time. The release of energy passed him barely, sending the air around of him in a twirling motion. Making his hair and shirt flow along for a short while. The flare hit the beast square on its face. The beast howled, in more pain, burns appearing on the mineral surface. An opening he would gladly exploit. Hao charged forward, using the smoke as a cover. Barely avoiding the following attacks of the rampaging beast. As a sort of desperation attack, it began shooting spires of stone at him. These deadly sharp objects avoided with speed and grace, yet a couple of cuts barely appearing on his shirt. The sprint of the Arrancar went with unnatural speed, now ducking under basilisk that was almost twice the size of an average human male. A palm slammed up right at its chin. It flew another five meters back, this time landing on its feet behind of the owner. Slithering with a threatening voice.

"Tch. That thing seriously is tougher than I though", Hao made a bit of a remark while sighing, waving his hand around. It seriously had a hide tough as steel. An improper punch could result in broken bones. But his amusement from before was far gone. Was this it? Was this all the vengeful spirit had to offer? He actually frowned for a single instant, preparing to go at it once more. While she was mostly focusing on avoiding and blocking the attacks, Kemiko was holding out fine herself. Though her demon magic proved a nice support for the fight to end quicker. The somewhat flamboyant male now kicking his lizard softly, muttering something to it. Despite the abusive relationship, it seemed like they had a fine bond between one another. As such, the Arrancar himself got to thinking. This fight is turning out to be more of a bother than I thought. Maybe I should stop holding back... true enough, he had a couple of aces up his sleeve. But he'd rather not make a show out there in the human world. It was no time to be creating chaos and mayhem.

Both Kemiko and Lucifer had yet to resume their fight, they were both watching Hao`s battle against the doll of the bount, who had yet to reveal his name. "You with that nickname again....joking during your battles is really unrespectful..". Lucifer turned his head towards Hao, liftning his brown eyebrow slightly. "You are the first arrancar i have meet...i wonder how your soul tastes like...you high class hollows must have a unique taste...but i doubt it will be as sweet as the soul from a shinigami-". Lucifer was cut off as he blocked Kemiko`s drawn zanpaktou with his whip handle, getting cut on his cheek by the tip of her blade "Enough with all this talking...", she said in a almost chilling voice, a dark smirk coming across her pale lips.

"As the lady commands..Teufel, lets do this..". Kemiko wasen`t surprised over the name of Lucifer`s doll being German, meaning devil. It was quite interesting, the shinigami named their kido`s and zanpaktou`s in japanesse, the bount`s named their weapon in German and the espada/fraccions named theirs in Spanish. As the "snake", wrapped itself around Kemiko`s arm holding the katana, it began to hiss in anger. A mere second later, and the snake`s cry of pain filled the air. Kemiko had drawn her zanpaktou hanging on her lower back, and stuck it inside the side of the snake, oddly enough she had decided not to slash the thing in half right away.

Lucifer jumped onto one of the rooftops and rubbed his surpringly slender fingers softly over his doll`s wound, looking down at Kemiko with furios eyes. Kemiko used shunpo and appeared on the roof top below Hao, looking up at him. "Stop playing around with the worm and take out the master", she said, refering to the bount`s "basilisk". Lucifer forced his eyes off Kemiko and jumped down at the other bount`s side, still stroking the head of Teufel.

"These two are quite troublesome...should we stop holding back?", he asked his "brother"(the bounts refer to eachother as family mostly).

PostSubject: Re: Vanity   Vanity EmptyWed Nov 17, 2010 8:22 am

Maybe it was about time for him to get more offensive. Merely repelling the blows of the thing that looked like a lizard was truly a bother. Even then, the talking of the bounts was getting a bit annoying. The male yawned a little, completely ignoring the formally dressed one. He was Kemiko's target, and the other one was reserved for him. Now then. The battle progressed alone, but they weren't drawing a conclusion just yet. Both of the masters were unharmed, and at least the stony lizard seemed to be taking very little damage from normal physical blows. A bone chilling scream ringing out through the whole area. It felt almost as though screeching one's nails against a chalkboard. The other doll was already wounded? It seemed like the female was living up to her name, handling the situation quite easily so far. She had enough time to comment on his situation too. Yeah, it seemed like his battle was mostly at a standstill. The lizard threw itself at him, and he kicked it back. That's how it had gone so far. Perhaps he really should cut loose his chains and let the blood flow.

The other bounto didn't seem as excited as before. Yet it was obvious, that he was taking some sort of a sick and twisted pleasure out of the situation. One of those mentally disturbed ones who took enjoyment in fighting. "But of course brother. I haven't felt this alive in ages. Let's show them how strong we really are! Let's go, Diamantschleifer", the tone of the bount's voice was more serious than before, yet it still hold high amounts of excitement and killing intent within. Having called out one of the stronger attacks of his doll. The thing opened its mouth out wide, releasing huge glowing spires out of its mouth. They were made out of the mysterious mineral, and focused reiatsu as well. The projectiles curving down, before reaching Hao. The Arrancar didn't make much movement, for some strange reason. An explosion could be seen, throwing up dust and rubble everywhere. Were these beings really that tough? Could they actually start winning if they truly felt like it? A seemingly dreadful situation, interrupted by a more startling revelation.

The whole area around of them suddenly shook. It was nothing like an earthquake, rather, the air itself was shaking as well. The pressing feeling disappearing as suddenly as it had appeared. The male Arrancar had finally revealed the extent of his true power, at least partially. His reiatsu dominated over the area for a fleeting moment. It was nothing more than crude release of pure spiritual influence, for he didn't want to reveal his true nature. Yet it was apparent that the reiatsu belonged to an Arrancar. Such a force could only belong to a Captain class being. An unharmed shadow emerging from the dust. Not only had he sidestepped the attack, his reiatsu also pushed away everything else that came to harm in. The look on his face unamused to say the least. He didn't want to go that far. But it seemed like he had no choice, if he wanted to end the situation right there.

"The hell was th--"
the casually dressed bounto began gasping, his speech cut off due to sheer shock. Hao's sonido was even faster than before, and his strike was overpowering to say the least. His both arms now going through the head of the stony beast. Like a knife through butter. But that wasn't all. A flare of white surrounding him. The male quite literally ripped his hands through the inside of the beast while releasing a charge of this mysterious energy. Split into two crumbling pieces, the flare without a temperature reduced the remains into dust. The look on the bount's face was now that of unmistakable terror. He hadn't prepared for this. No way. What was someone with a power of this magnitude doing in Karakura? "J-just what are you!?" the poor guy had entered panic mode. He tried running, but his feet weren't moving. His instincts told him to move, but his body didn't obey. Shaking in anticipation.

Hao took a chillingly calm look towards the male, opening his lips. "Doesn't make a difference", was his nonchalant reply. His left arm pulled back, the male vanished once more. Appearing right in front of the one with the teal hair, brutally holding him up by his head. There was no struggle, only shocked gasps. His fingers gradually digging in deeper into the other male's cranium. "You're in the way. Perish", his voice still reflecting nothing more than sheer apathy towards the bounto, another huge flare of white erupted from his hands. Burning and disintegrating the body of his unfortunate victim until there was nothing left. The raging flares even leaving burn marks on things it came into close proximity with. Soon disappearing, at the will of the user. More of this energy shot out from the palms of his hands and his feet, though more controlled. Not burning his clothes, nor other objects. The swirl of white, yellow and other bright hues taking him up in mere moments. The male made a flip, before making a clean landing on a small water tower. The look on his face still reflecting unamusement towards these bouto.

If you want to know how the shikai looks like, simply look in my signature..i have always been bad to describe weaponsxD

As the shockwave of reaitsu made the air in the surronding area heavy to breath, Kemiko`s yellow eyes went wide. Thi-this reaitsu....could it be?....". Putting two and two together, Kemiko figured out that Hao was apart of the espada, they were the only once who had reaitsu on the same level as captains, at least among arrancars. Being a vice captain, she didn`t feel much of a difference when the pressure disappeared a mere moment later. Having felt his reaitsu, she wasen`t surprised to see him unharmed by the attack, in fact, she felt a bit.. relived to know that he was that powerful, it meant he would`t get hurt. With a light sigh she observed as Hao killed off the causual dressed bount, using his hot flames that seemed to burn in a unsual graceful manner.

Lucifer observed the entire show with a emotionless mask, obiviously not being touched by the fact that one of his, "brothers", had just been murdered in front of his own eyes. Teufel lifted its head slightly from the shoulder of its master, observing the strong arrancar standing on the water tower. "Don`t be afriad, my darling...he might be strong, but if we are gonna die tonight, we will take the woman with us..". Lucifer turned his gaze towards Kemiko, who haden`t taken her eyes of Hao ever since he realsed his reaitsu. "..kill her, Teufel!". The snake grew a few inchers wider and "shot", itself up towards Kemiko, its jaws oppening wide. A strong jet of water shot out from the depths of the snake, its true power being revealed. As the water was about to hit the red haired shinigami, she used shunpo and avoided the water by mere inches, her hair danching around her.

"...So your a fire user, Hao?...i guess we have more in common that i thought..". The tone of speaking was soft and gentle, the undertone being dark and almost murders. "Due to your words..does that mean your a fire user yourself, my lady?...", the bount said with a small smile accros his lips, a glimt of victory being displayed in his eyes. Noticing the glimt, Kemiko simply smirked slightly to herself. "...As their soul is taken by your mighty sword, rise from the flames, Senshi Byoga!(Warrior dragon)". Both of her katana`s glowed red for a moment, transforming into two tanto`s that had two pointed blades extending out from their handles. The left one was white, the other being black, indicating that the two had different uses.

A shock wave, not as strong as Hao`s, shot through the air, causing Teufel to draw back to Lucifer for safety due to the wind currents. "So this is your shikai release? Not all that impressive...however, i must say that your reaitsu feels nice..". "...watch your words, old man...the next once you speak will be the last before i burn the very air from your lungs..". Due to the dark tone that the words was spoken in, Lucifer trusted his arm forward, sending Teufel towards Kemiko again, this time in a zigzag pattern to confuse her. Kemiko pointed the tip of the black tanto out in front of her, the smirk appearing again. A stream of fire shot out from her blade, heading towards the snake. Teufel opened its both and let out yet anthoder stream of water, causing the two of them to collasp. From the looks of it, and the fact that fire was weak against water, it looked like Kemiko would loose towards the water doll. The white tanto began to glow white, causing the heat of the flames to increase rapidly by each passing second. After a few moments, Kemiko trusted her hand with the black tanto forwards, causing the stream of fire to become longer.

Teufel`s screames of pain engulfed the night air yet again as the flames engulfed its entire body, travling in a fast speed towards Lucifer. Lucifer made a last movement with his arm, drawing Teufel down towards himself. The burning snake wrapped itself around its master, laying its head onto his shoulder. "master...im sorry that we should end like this..", "don`t say sorry...you kept your promise to never leave my side..". Before the two of them reached to have a last thought, the fire burned through their muscles, instant burning their organs.

OCC: Yes i know its cheesy, but i like those kind of deathsxD

Kemiko returned her zanpaktou`s to their sealed stats and slided them back into their holsters, letting out a light sigh, maybe she had given a last thought to Lucifer and his doll? Using shunpo, she appeared behind Hao, her back pressing against his slightly. "...That reaitsu of yours...it means your an espada...". The chilly wind returned for a moment, causing her long hair to whirl around her, the very tip of it hitting against his lower arm slightly. Was she gonna attack him or was she gonna run away? Her statement to him seemed to indicate the first, but the words she now spoke changed everything,. "Your really something special, Hao". She lowered her head slightly, a little smile being accros her lips.

Now that he was done with his battle, Hao had all the time in the world to focus on Kemiko's situation. Having heard her earlier comment about his abilities. A glimpse of amusement reappearing somewhere deep inside of him. Thinking that he might just have a small surprise in store for her. Later on. So long as she made it out of the fight in one piece. But he wasn't worried one bit, for the female had done very well so far. She already had learned how fight well, and she surely had the potential for something more. That is what his eyes were telling him. Upon hearing the release of her Zanpakutou, he got even more interested. It certainly wasn't the flashiest he had seen, but it did seem to hold some hidden practicalities. He wanted to observe what more of she was capable of. A mutual interest between them, one could say. So that is the first release of a Shinigami, the shikai stage... he thought to himself while imprinting the shape of her newly formed weapon firmly in his mind. Also taking in a part of her own reiatsu. Fierce and ready for battle, yet had a nice feeling to it. It was oddly refreshing. Since Hollows usually had such corrupt reiatsu to them.

He took his time observing the way she used these new weapons of hers. Having heard earlier that she was an user of the fire element. She had two weapons, quite uncommon most of the time. Then again, Zanpakutous came in all forms and sizes. The forms, while important, didn't interest him so much as the true ability of these tantos she now held. They say that the weapon reflects the wielder. Hao's own Zanpakutou was a perfect example of this, then again, Arrancars had their own kinds of unique weapons. Quite a bit different from the ones Shinigami had. Her black blade was the one generating fire. Almost enough to face the water of the bounto, yet not quite. But that is where things got interesting. Her other tanto glowing white and giving the fires more power. Starting to engulf the bounto and his doll. They shared some touchy words, before falling to their beautiful deaths, side by side. It was a noble sight, despite the end of two existences. Much more so than the harsh end he gave the other bounto. The male sighed once, giving the lost souls his condolence somewhere deep inside of his mind.

Now, it seemed like Kemiko was done with her fight as well. The female appearing in a swift blur herself, so close to him they were nearly touching. Standing there, back to back. Beings nearly the opposite to one another. Then again, there was a saying that some Arrancars developed to be more like Shinigami than their Hollow relatives. At least, until the moment they unleashed their true powers. "Welcome back", was his heartfelt greeting towards the female, spoken in a silent and relaxed tone of voice. A surprising bond growing between the two of them. He wondered, how could the Shinigami trust him not to turn against her. Then again, he had that very same trust towards her. Allowing a silence fall over them for a while. Merely relaxing there in the night, right besides one another. They had won the fight, so maybe it was the best to have a short rest to reward them both. Listening carefully, he could even hear the flow of her hair. Even how it brushed against his arm. Her heartbeat too. Perhaps, if she only listened carefully, she too could hear a faint sounds inside of Hao. Despite that hole in his chest, located underneath his shirt.

"I am what I am. All souls are special in some way", he spoke with a soft tone, only barely moving the palm of his left hand. Having relaxed his body. He closed his eyes and took a smell at the air around of him. Staying in the moment, and trying to completely capture the feeling. His eyes moved a bit to the left, taking a bare look over his shoulder, towards her the back of Kemiko's head. "It seems like you too have something very special inside of you. At least, that is how I feel", he spoke in the very same tone of voice as before. Now taking a look down towards the lands below. They were pretty high up above the streets at the moment. Then again, they could go even higher if they wanted to. Maybe they should go and check on her faux body. Then again, it was all the same to him. He was there, merely following the flow. In order to alleviate his usually dull existence. "Should we go down and check on your body? Or is there something else you want to do before that?"

Having closed her eyes herself, she to was listening to the wind, enjoying the silence that yet again had fallen over them. This is really all weird...i have only known Hao for around a hour...yet, it feels like we have known each other for years...for that matter, he is an espada, one of the biggest enemies towards soul society... normally i would have attacked anything with a mask, yet here i am, standing back to back with him, enjoying his company...either he has used some sort of hypnoses on me...else im getting soft..". Kemiko was broken out by her thoughts when Hao decided to break the silence, saying all souls were special in some way. The female shinigami could´t help but to smile, if only all espada were like him...maybe they could work togeder with the shinigami insteed of fighting. Kemiko opened her eyes slightly, realsing how stupid her idea just had been...arrancars and shinigami working togeder...not until they got a captain commander and captains that was willing to change the old things and accept the new ideas.

Feeling Hao`s gaze on her, she turned her head over her left shoulder only to find Hao looking down at her neck, his eyes being mild and soft. "I`m not really special...my zanpaktou`s are special, my family is noble, and it was fate that decided for me to become a vice captain under a flirting, woman loving captain that`s drunk half the day and sleeps the rest...". As she began to speak of her captain, a unusual soft tone came across her voice, making it appear that she cared for her captain, and thinking of him amused her.

As Hao turned his gaze from her and down to the ground, asking her if they should go get her body now or if she wanted to do something else first, she could`t help but to smile a little again. "You really like to change topic, don`t you?...must be your endless curiosity...anyways, lets get my body...lead the way". Kemiko turned around and placed her slender fingers onto his shoulder, looking up at him for a brief moment before looking down at the street again.

The time they stood there peacefully back to back was truly a moment to enjoy. The Arrancar himself figuring that Kemiko had her own deep thoughts in mind. It would be so very easy if people could understand one another without words. Then he could know what she was thinking of at that moment. And maybe she could understand how his mind worked a bit better as well. But it seemed like their connection was somehow better than with the usual people who happened to bump into one another in the streets. Having built up such an abnormal mutual trust in a mere hour. His thoughts wandering around as well. But his flow of thought was quite a lot different. Focusing on deeper aspects, rather than working to bring these opposite groups together someday. Many things seemed so unchanging. And those two factions could never reach a peace without first changing themselves. His sights were set somewhere far away where only very few people could see. Yet his look on the world was painfully realistic. His secret wishes repeating through the corners of his mind.

Her way of looking at the world seemed quite realistic as well. Humble too, judging by her words. Yet an unusual tone of softness came about with it. Maybe she was actually content with the way things were? Well, just being content with what you have might really be for the best. Perhaps she had been lucky in the past, but for him that was another way of looking at the potential within a person. Ending up in a place where she could find better starting point for the life of a spirit. Hao left out a silent chuckle at the last of her words. Reminded of something that once happened in the past. "Eh... A flirt who loves women and has a taste for alcohol. I have known a person like that once. A long time ago", his eyes were set towards somewhere in the distance. Within them hidden the secrets to his past. You could say that he was a secretive person. Never revealing too much about himself to people, even those he trusted. Of course there were also those he could open up to and share more of his world with. For years he hadn't had such a person.

Now he felt her slender fingers holding onto his shoulders, having also heard what more she had to add. Changing the topics? Endless curiosity? If you can call a thirst of knowledge as curiosity, then he really did have a lot of it. Another amusing thought. And that's exactly what he often found himself looking for. Amusement for this stagnant world. Perhaps that's why he had a tendency of going at such a fast pace. But there was more to it than that. Oh well. Rather than focusing on himself, he wanted to understand the female better. Now. Since she asked him to lead the way. As a gentleman, he would have to comply. Maybe his actions were a bit too spontaneous. Having suddenly brought his right arm around of her upper abdomen, and his left arm around her thighs. His intentions to simply carry her to her body. His expression as nonchalant as ever, showing no change despite such sudden actions. Yet a certain amount of warmness reflected on his otherwise lonesome face. The Arrancar jumped, flying through the open sky for a short moment. His presence was strong, yet he seemed so distant in certain ways. As though his form was slightly detached from reality.

The flight lasted for a while, surprisingly peacefully too, before the two disappeared in a blur. The unlikely couple arriving in front of the bench, resting under that giant tree. There her faux body was, seemingly in a peaceful rest. Covered in his coat that was had been laid out as a blanket to keep it warmer. Without hesitation he was ready to let go of her. Being too spontaneous with his actions might annoy the female after all. He quite liked both her appearance and personality. It was certainly better than hanging out in a gloomy place such as Hueco Mundo. Where you could never trust in anywhere. "I hope you didn't mind", he spoke, his voice still sounding rather nonchalant. The male rubbed his right shoulder with his left hand, just stretching around for a little. Taking a look at the body, before turning to the soul. "Yeah, I guess I am a bit curious. All in an attempt to better understand this reality, and beings like the two of us as well. How about you?", this time his sound was back to the kind of charismatic one he had before the battle even began. This time wanting to keep the conversation alive and to learn more about her.

As he picked her up and began the short travel to the bench, Kemiko could`t help but to feel a certain feeling of exciting coming over her, causing her to clutch her fingers a little tighter around his shoulder. Her intension had been to make him carry her there, which would save them time, so she wasen`t surprised when he had picked her up...yet, why was she feeling so embarrassed all of a sudden? Kemiko focused her attention on preventing herself from blushing, convincing herself that the reason for her blushing was merely because it had been awhile since she had, had such contact with anthoder being. After getting the blush away, she closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the feeling of the rushing wind playing with her hair, while focusing her thoughts. She had been carried like this several times over the past few years, mostly to be brought in safety, yet this felt so different, was it because he was a arrancar or something else?

The red haired shinigami didn`t reach to find an answer to that before they arrived at the bench, Hao putting her down the moment they arrived. Kemiko used a few moments to take in her surrondings, her eyes soon focusing onto her body that was covered by Hao`s jacket. "I didn`t mind, after all i suggested you to carry me in order to save time...", she said in a brief smile, hoping the answer would satisfy Hao for the moment. She walked over and carefully picked the coat off her fake body, being relivied to see it unharmed. Insteed of going into her body right away, she walked a few steps towards Hao, leaning against one of the nearby trees that still had a few leafs hanging on its branches.

"Having been in the eleventh division, the combat unit, and spend most of my shinigami life in the front of the battlefiels, things tend to get boring for me. I transferd to the eight division in order to look at things in a new way, and so far it has payed out. Of cause i kinda miss the boys in the eleventh division, but i hope that the power i gain and the mysterious i uncover will make the feeling more enjoyable than painful..". Crossing her arms under her chest, she looked towards Hao and then at the jacket she had left on the bench next to the body. "By the way, thanks for the sweet thought of wanting to keep my body warm, but until i return to it, its basically dead and will loose body heat no matter what you do with it..once i return to it, it will be as good as new".

Hao nodded at the words of the female, figuring she'd be fine with it in the end. Since her hints had been fairly obvious after all. Of course, minding his manners came out naturally. Unless there was a person he wanted to tease and he was in a bored mood. Yet the true basic moods of the Arrancar were quite much like this. There were things you could see from his neutral face, yet so many elements left hidden within. A calm and cool person with an aloof aura to him. The female had a somewhat similar feeling to her. On the outside she seemed somewhat emotionless at first, based on her mannerisms. A kind heart hidden within. He took a look towards Kemiko, then up at the tree. As expected, the leaves had mostly withered with the passing of the seasons. His gaze wandering for a short time, yet his ears focused on listening. She revealed even more of her origins. It seemed like she had also been through a lot in her life. Not to mention, this was new knowledge to him. Most informed beings knew that the governing organization of the Shinigami was called Gotei 13. Of course the Divisions would specialize in different things. But now he knew which Division specialized in close quarters combat.

Listening to someone was actually interesting every now and then. Since he liked learning new things and all. The male made for a good listener. Nodding along patiently as the female carried on with what she had to say. So she had transferred Divisions as well. He really had no idea why, but maybe that was something she didn't exactly feel talking about. Seemingly trying to take it all as a positive new experience. "How very different our two groups are. The Arrancars who stay at Las Noches don't organize themselves in any kind of Divisions. There are just the Espada who govern the fortress and the realm as the strongest inhabitants, their direct underlings, and all the other Arrancars who stay there to serve the order. I guess it's not as strict as it is in Soul Society due to our loose ranking system. But it most certainly is unstabler. Truth to be told, I'd sometimes prefer just going around on my own without being bound to any organizations", he added his two cents into the conversation, having also resumed eye contact with the female. Slightly shrugging at the end of his words.

During her pause, Hao took the chance to stretch his arm towards his coat. Quickly pulling it on through his right arm, the end of the garment making a nice looking turn with the winds, before his left arm went through the other sleeve. His trusted dark coat back where it belonged. This time keeping his hood off. Most would consider the wearing of a hood as a rude act after all. And he wanted to feel the breeze better as well. His attention brought back to her words. "While advanced, seems like technology still has its limits. Something without a soul can't be entirely alive after all, or so it seems. By the way, good work going against Lucifer", his words contained mild amusement. The scientists of the Gotei 13 sure were effective. The male then turned around, finding a clock located right behind of him. It was a bit earlier than 11 pm. For someone who enjoyed the night like he did, it was still early enough. A stop to listen to the words of Kemiko, before turning his head towards her, the faintest of smiles back on his face. Offering his right arm towards her. "The night is still young. Do you want to hang out with me some more?" his invitation stood. Truth to be told, he had a nice place in mind, if she felt like having a change of scenery soon.

As Hao finished up his first segment of words, Kemiko could`t help but to smile a little. "..More unstable, true...but if you look at what that had to go through in order to enter las noches, they are bound to be a bit unstable...when you become a hollow, you enter the path of "kill or get killed", something you will have to follow for the rest of your life. I`m glad to see that someone are trying to find a way out of that path". It was obivious that by "someone", she meant him. Her face seemed to yet again having soften up a bit, her shoulders hanging loose. Turning her back to him for a moment, she walked over to the bench and placed her shinigami badge over her chest. The moment it touched her, she dissapeared into the artificial body, the badge ending on the ground with a small thud.

After a few moments life signs, such as a rising chest and moving fingers, could be seen on the body. "...It is warm...odd", she said as she sat up, cracking her fingers and neck slightly in order to get used to the body again. She spend one or two minutes on fixing herself up, finishing by placing the shinigami badge into her left pocket once again. Kemiko closed her eyes briefly and felt the cold wind play around with her coat and hair, first opening them when Hao commented onto her words about the body, complementing her in the process for taking down Lucifer. "I could easily have taken them both down you know..but i figured a little fight would keep you interest while i finished up Lucifer".

The words was spoken with a amused smirk over her lips, was she teasing him? The smirk dissapeared as they once again was intterupted, yet this time by serval voices yelling out her rank and last name. "Vice captain Hijami-sama, were are you!?". Kemiko turned her head towards the direction of the sound, letting out a breathless gasp as she saw members from her own division walking towards them. Kemiko held her left hand towards the east, her expression showing that their arrival annoyed her."Way of destruction number four, pale lighting..". A lighting stroke shot out of her index finger, flying between the trees. The feeling of her reaitsu caused the shinigami to run towards the east were the lighting was headed, meaning that the kido had been meant as an distraction.

A few moments later she laid her arm in his, the fabric of her coat brushing against his shoulder. "You don`t even have to ask...but do me a favor and put on your hood if we are going some were human`s are. We can never know if someone working under the espada, a special human or a shinigami sees your mask fragment..".

PostSubject: Re: Vanity   Vanity EmptyFri Nov 19, 2010 11:50 am

As usual, Hao nodded along to Kemiko's words. You could say that the two were on the same wavelength. They had their differences, yet it seemed like they could easily understand one another. Such a connection was rare between people, especially those who didn't even know one another that well just yet. But this was a nice development, one the male didn't mind at all. The replies she provided were interesting as well. "That's right, I am bored of how stagnant and unchanging this world is", the male replied with a nonchalant tone of voice, closing his eyes and shrugging at the same time. Opening up his right eye soon to take a look at what the female was up to. In the blink of an eyes, she had already entered that faux body of hers. While the way of dressing was very different, it really did look quite a lot like she really did. You could say that she passed perfectly as an average human being. The body also sealing up a part of her innate reiatsu. It'd be nice to have an artificial body. Perhaps then he could mingle with the people of Karakura properly.

It seemed like a pleasant surprise waited for them. Despite the odds, it seemed like her body had warmed up. Even he found himself reacting with a bit of surprise towards her words. Something strange had happened. What a fun night this proved to be so far, despite the annoying little disturbances. "Eh..." he replied with a silent voice, his own surprise reflected in a visible manner. He kept looking at how the female stretched around. It seemed like these bodies were nice to have around, but maintaining them still proved troublesome. The wind coming into play once more. A couple of clouds now obscuring the skies that were clear just a while ago. At this rate, the first snows could come soon. He left out a breath, the air making up a faintly visible trail of steam. Thinking about fighting in the meanwhile. "Fighting seems like a bore these days. The enemies are all the same. It's always kill or be killed. That's all there is to it, unless you find a higher purpose for your fight", he shrugged, contemplating over his earlier experiences. Rubbing his shoulder with a sort of bothered look on his face. About the only thing with the Bounto that interested him was the unique doll. It was a new experience, yet he found the fight more of a bother in the end. That is why he put such a crude and swift end to the fight.

More voices ringing out from the distance. Yet another disturbance to their otherwise peaceful night. Sounds of other people running after the female he had spent time with until now. The life of a Vice-Captain certainly seemed busy. The male sighed, taking a closer look towards him. They were most likely thinking about the same thing. To ditch the place and go somewhere more peaceful. The others might make a big deal out of her hanging out with an Arrancar after all. Their hands now connected. Even through her hand, he could still feel a certain amount of warmness. His own hand, despite being bare, also having the warm of a male to it. Her little distraction seemed to work. It was good enough. The male took a short moment to focus, figuring out his path. "Don't worry about it. The place I have in mind, we will most likely have complete peace to ourselves", he told Kemiko, having made up his mind on where to go. The destination was on the other side of the town, even going a bit further than that. The trip would take 10 minutes if he wanted to keep them undercover. But the place he had in mind. It would be peaceful at this time of the year around there. In the end it would be well worth it. His faint smile turned into a smirk, before his face became the same as ever. Ending up carrying the female around in his arms once more. A silent blur passed, leaving the search party biting the dust.

During their trip, Hao remained quiet for the most part. The female cradled in his arms. Whenever Kemiko wanted to talk, he would of course reply, but his sights were set somewhere else. His appearance a bit lonesome and mystifying once again. He wanted to keep the destination a secret. Passing from rooftop to rooftop in a fast blur, trying to keep it down. The journey took them right through the town of Karakura. Passing further away from the outskirts as well. Following a lone road that seemed to go higher up. Until they came upon a relatively large cliff, toppling higher than the highest buildings of the town. A single road running through the cliff, a way for some to pass through it. During the spring it was a popular sight seeing spot. But during the winter, the top of the cliff was mostly abandoned. The male had stopped his rush at a spot made for situations like these. Surprisingly few people even knew there was a cliff like this there. The edge of the steep piece of land guarded by an elegantly built rail. The two of them could now see the entire town rising below of them. The bright lights only making it more beautiful in the night. The moon and the stars looming behind of it in the horizon. He wanted to hear her thoughts about the place, before speaking up himself. Hoping she'd be one to enjoy the sights, especially since it was quite a peaceful spot as well.
