An Arrancar sat upon a white, stone pillar but why was he out there; better question, how did a stone pillar get out there in the middle of a desert? It was odd indeed to find that there. He sat there with his right leg up on top of the pillar and his left leg dangling down on pillar, his right arm was resting on his right knee, and in that right hand was his oh so trusty scythe. He sat there with his eyes closed relying on his other senses for the moment; every Espada had to be alert and had to learn to rely on their senses instead of just using their ability of sight. There were some that didn't have eyes, so it shouldn't be that hard trying something they did on a daily basis right? Hopefully that was the case and he didn't have that many problems.

His name was Niiro Ryuu, he was an elite ranked Arrancar from the group called Espada, he was the ninth strongest; sure nine was a low ranked number, but who knew what he could accomplish. He sat here because he rather be here then just interacting with something, or someone, who could end up doing something completely stupid and risking his life. He sat here and comtemplated on whether or not he should leave his world and go to another to start some "fun" or if he should just stay here and wait for some "fun" to come to him. He stapped his left index finger on the left side of the pillar as he thought of a solution; the tapping wasn't loud at all, it was completely quiet which allowed him to continue focusing on his other senses. He let out a small sigh as he waited and thought.

Drake traveled through the lifeless desert, with the intent of finding something interesting. So far he hadn't any luck. As he walked, his axe dragged deeply in the sand, carving a long line from where he had started walking. He searched the area, scouting for someone worth his time, but with no luck. He kicked up the sand in a angry outburst, "Damn this place!" he shouted. Drake didn't really like it here in Hueco Mundo, there were only hollow and arrancar, nothing new or different. Nothing excited ever happened in this area, but then again this was the place for the "fallen" souls. Drake put on his evil grin, he was one of those "fallen" souls, and boy did he enjoy being one.

As Drake continued to walk, he would close upon pillar, where atop it sat another arrancar. Drake smirked, as he then threw his axe from the ground up toward the arrancar. The axe spun with great speed, and embedded itself into the side of the pillar. Drake then ran up the pillar, quickly, to stand upon the handle of his axe, level with the arrancar. Drake then recognized the arrancar with a closer look to be the Novena Espada, Niiro, the one he had pretty much tied himself to in loyalty. Drake hadn't really talked to Niiro, so he decided to make this the perfect time to get to know him.

Drake folded his arms across his bare chest, and stared forward into the open desert area. "So, why is someone like you all out here alone?" he asked, not even looking at the man. He had no idea where this conversation would go, so he decided to be casual about it and make it apparent that he didn't care whether Niiro would answer or not. He just needed something to do, and the espada usually had something interesting planned.

Niiro opened his eyes to see an ax impaling the pillar he was on. It would seem it landed right beneath his foot, which was a good thing because he didn't want to break the weapon; especially since that wouldn't really look right, an arrancar without their Ressureccion is like Michael Jackson without a little boy. He had already felt the presence of his Fraccion earlier, but he decided now to acknowledge it when he appeared in front of the Espada. He opened his eyes and looked at the Fraccion and wondered why exactly was he out here, and what he wanted with the Novena Espada... He would soon find out.

He gripped his scythe a little bit tighter and looked out at the moon that was forever up in the sky. He began to wonder why there was never a sun out here, but that ended very soon. He heard the question and decided that it was a stupid question, but he was pretty sure that the Fraccion didn't know exactly how the Espada was and how he felt about being around other people, so he decided to "enlighten" him. "You should know that I don't like being around others. That's why I'm out here, it's quiet and away from others." He wasn't going to say anything about the Fraccion ruining his time away, so he looked back at the moon waiting for a response or something.

Drake understood the Espada wanting to be alone, for he too enjoyed being alone. Yet sometimes it gets boring and requires the presence of others to make it interesting. Drake took his gaze from the desert and looked at Niiro out of the corner of his eye. The espada reminded him of himself when he was younger, a loner who had his own way of doing things. Some may wonder why a arrancar as old as Drake would follow Niiro, who was much younger than himself, it was because Drake found the younger arrancars to be the more interesting ones. They were the ones that were the most alert, for they had something to prove most of the time.

Drake then leaned backwards so that he swung around and stood upside down upon the handle of his axe, looking at the ground. "Sorry to interrupt your 'Me Time', but you should really find something for us to do. This bland desert is becoming a complete bore..." he said bluntly as his eyes caught sight of a wandering hollow. Drake's evil grin crept upon his face. He then let the hold between his feet and his axe go, flipped in the air, and grabbed the handle of the axe with his hand, just to snatch it out of the pillar. As he began to free fall to the ground, Drake, using great force, planted the axe once more into the pillar and creating a long deep split inside of it. As a consequence, cracks would begin to rapidly spread out from the deep slash, and the pillar would eventually give away, but Drake was unconcerned for he was focused on one thing now. When he touched the ground, he quickly snatched his axe out of the pillar, and threw it at the hollow like a tomahawk.

This hollow did nothing to deserve what Drake was about to do, it was just part of Drake's nature to toy with others. The hollow had fallen over to its knees with the axe embedded in its back along its spine. Drake ran and jumped behind the hollow, snatched the axe out of the hollow's back, flipped above its head, and planted the axe into the face of the hollow. Throughout all of this Drake had a maniacal smile upon his face, his eyes were filled with joy. The hollow wasn't dead, even with his axe in its face, and Drake wanted just that. As he began to tear the limbs from the hollow, one by one, and ate them in front of it.

At this point Drake had forgotten about the Espada, who would probably be upset that his sitting spot was destroyed. In some unconscious sense, the destroying of the pillar was probably intentional, for Drake thought the Espada was a bit boring for his age. Drake wanted to wreak havoc upon the innocent, he expected Niiro to provide the way to doing so.

Niiro didn't really feel like responding to the Fraccion, but he did have a point about it being boring around here. The Espada figured that during this time he could entertain the not as strong Arrancar's response this time. He then realized that the pillar that he was sitting upon was falling apart, and by the hands of the Fraccion named Drake. He was moving at a semi-fast speed, to avoid falling to the ground and making it onto the sand safe. Although he did not use Sonido it would appear that he was; so it looked as if he appeared by the side of the Fraccion. The long black metal bar was up to the Fraccion's neck and the blade at the end of the blade was two inches away from the left side of his neck. Niiro looked past the Fraccion and said to him, "Watch where you're swinging that thing." After he said that he swung his scythe to his right shoulder and rested it there while it was still in his right hand. He put his left hand out and opened up what the Arrancars would call a Garganta. He walked up to it and said to the the Fraccion without looking at him, "Come on, let's go." With that being said he walked into the blackness heading out to a foreign land.

Drake glanced out of the corner of his eyes at the espada, as the blade was at his neck. His creepy grin still showing, along with the evil look in his eyes. Drake respected the Espada as a comrade, but didn't fear the man in the slightest sense. He got up slowly, kicking aside the remains of the hollow for the scavengers that waited somewhere, as the espada opened the garganta. He dusted himself off and wiped the mixture of saliva and blood from his chin. "Oh how exciting this shall be..." he said with a twisted chuckle, as he followed behind the espada, his axe at hand.
