PostSubject: A Cache like Cash but not Cash   Tue Oct 26, 2010 7:00 am

It was still a dark night that afforded Hans a luxury of traversing Seireitei with relatively little detection. But he was met with countless frustrations in looking for the 12th division. There were no signs to direct Hans, as he would look over 5th, 8th and 9th Divisions already, having walked long in his journey in the maze of corridors as he had relatively kept stealth an element that must be maintained. Sneaking by a few patrols as he was in the process, until he found the correct number for 12th in Japanese. A lack of Reiatsu emissions making him virtually undetectable. Satisfaction descended on the German as he would tip toe his way towards the storage & communication building of the Shinigami Research Institute. Basically a main building, which was met by the presence of two guards manning their post in front of the main entrance. Hans faced them to their right sides as he realized that there is a window at the 2nd floor of the 3 story concrete dominant building laden with antennas and all communication arrays.

Crouching, he swiftly made his way to the open window meant to nothing more but convey moonlight, leaping upwards as it was with his newly attained vigor, managed to reach the window very easily and effortlessly, gripping the ledge and pulling himself up. Sliding himself within as he was with luck, the guards still hadn't noticed any entries and there were no patrols inside. Even then, he had a 1st Division Shinigami's uniform on, which made Hans on a superior position, as he was in the commander's division, if he were ever confronted. Though from what he can infer, this calm and relatively quiet if not safe storage floor, with floors of this entire ground lined with carpets all over the level, would be quite lavish for some store house. It could be said that the Captain of the 12th Division might have a thing for mighty fine assortments based upon a deduction. Hans himself finding himself against the window facing a corridor with many doors forward. Step forward, another step forward and it went on in a walk. Such a carpet being soaked by stains of Sanguine orange. Taking a darker red dye for texture instead as it was virally spreading onwards. Fluids were most assuredly soaking in such carpets and would continue to do so in a trail as he advanced. But as he was passing the 1st and 2nd doorways, something caught his eye to his right.

本発明ストレージ Ah! Capital indeed, the invention room. Reaching his hand for the doorknob, Hans twists it clockwise, but it wouldn't budge. So he twisted it counter-clockwise. Still wouldn't budge. It was locked. He didn't have time to spare, therefore rearing his left leg back, he shot it forward as the tip of his boots makes a powerful hit against the wooden frame of the door, snapping it open for a loud thud... hopefully that won't be heard. Taking careful steps into the room so not to slip on the slippery surface of the ground, Hans took a moment to inspect it, but much to his satisfaction, there were no traps, no detection. It was after all... a storage room for inventions. At least there wasn't any carpet here, but it means that the floor would be wet from sanguine orange spreads and would continue to spread. Reminding Hans of WWI somehow as he had a brief smile for the recollection of memories, of the German headquarters back at the Eastern front. Anyways, the German goes over to the closest box he could find, takes up a crowbar left on top of it, uses the toothy end of the crowbar to slide itself into the edge of the lid before snapping such a box open to find what he wanted to find, discarding the crowbar. A perfect stack of Kido guns, though he has to find somethings out. Funny thing was that it had instructions. As usual, it was in Japanese.

It seems that this alien dimension was most Japanese oriented. Having elements of a Feudal Japan. Interesting... but it has a modern and retro touch to it. Reaching for the instructions book with his left hand, he pulls it out of the box, opens it up and starts flipping the page. Reading it incidentally for a couple of minutes before coming upon a realization that these guns function just like the human counterparts but with an added blast of Kido. Once having understood the function of the Kido gun, he pulls out three of them, loading them up with the standard cartridges and then wearing the straps around his back for three. Making his way towards the corridor to the window as he looked out at the window to see any visible signs of a guard activities. Ears, eyes and nose peeled for any signs of disturbances.

Tactless as he was, Tetsuya had gone along with his lieutenant. Noticing that he had ruined a moment a bit too late. Curse him and his inexperience with social interactions. The two had passed by 9th Division grounds as they moved forward towards the springs. A curious sight amongst the rooftops catching his eyes. A German ninja shinigami making his way through the dusk and into the night. Fine then. He could only see the body of the guy. Like a Greek statue dressed in a normal Shinigami uniform, but he couldn't see his face at all, so no figuring out nationalities. But he dismissed such a sight. It was common to see ninjas of the second Division running around. This ninja was dressed in a normal robe though. So it was just his imagination playing tricks on him. Anyways, he was intending to go to the springs with his Lieutenant. A plan which was about to be ruined. Duty was calling, in the form of a hell butterfly already fluttering around of him like a moth searching for some fabric to feed on. Bringing an alarm to the one who was supposed to be protecting Seireitei against intruders. Apparently some bitch had gone and opened a Senkaimon without permission, brining some extra company with him. No one knew who this person was just yet. Most likely a lost ally, perhaps something else. But they wanted him to check it out anyways just to be sure. What a bore. Apologizing for his earlier behavior, the broody one vanished. A single shunpo towards a single place.

How annoying. Just when he was about to go and relax for once. He was back to his usual grumpy self again. Passing by some other Shinigami in a swift sprint towards a certain other Division. Leaving the small ones in fear of his gloomy face. Even the drunk tards that hung out around night gave him some space. His usual disposition was that of a pissed off bastard after all. Someone you don't want to mess with. Now where was he heading again? To get his unlikely partner in crime, Jushiro Kaizen. The one formerly known as Izanagi. Hey, he had many names, that slick womanizer. He'd need to search a lot of ground at once, and for that, he needed some scientific tools. This way he could get the assignment done much quicker and see who the stranger was. Already at the entrance to the 12th Division barracks. He rushed in without any warning, jumping, and kicking down one of the doors at the entrance. Leaving the scientists on break in a daze. He walked forward in a rush, a pressing feeling appearing over of him. Like a veil of roughness shaving down on the manhood of others.

"Sir, you can't just barge in here, even if you are the 9th Division Captain..." one of the staff members began whining, cautiously trying to restrain the moves of the man. Courageous, yet all in vain. He was intent on moving to the S.R.D.I and find Jush. Since he didn't even know that the Captain had left Seireitei earlier that day. Such misinformation. He glared the man down, pushing him aside.

"Shut up. I have some urgent business to handle with Kaizen. You know the connections we have, so I suggest you let me go for now", he groaned at the man, dashing forward without any further words. Leaving the staff of the Division in even more of a daze. Someone tried telling him that the man was away on 'business', but Tetsu just ignored him as well. There was one place where the man loved spending more time than anywhere else. The invention storage. Having already rushed far enough, he now noticed that the huge, usually locked doors, were open. Was he inside? The intruder disguising himself as a ninja Shinigami was already gone. The room was pretty huge, containing several pieces of scientific equipment. He couldn't even see the other end. A quick search revealed that Jush wasn't at his usual spot. Tch. What a waste. So he moved out, searching for the mad scientist.

Coming upon one of the corridors. One leading to an open window. He noted that he hadn't walked upon any mysterious puddles or spillings that day. Well, to be honest, he saw a couple, but avoided them by a huge marginal. Lucky him. But that is besides the point. There he saw a man, one who looked surprisingly familiar. In truth, the intruder he had been looking for. But he was disguised as a Shinigami to near perfection, so he couldn't tell the true identity just yet. But the lurking made him wonder. Especially since he noticed that someone had stolen a stash of kido guns from a box earlier. He only knew because of the label on the box. Jush usually kept very good care of his inventions after all. They sometimes talked this stuff over, being somewhat friendly despite all the insults. This older person having a respectable stature. He looked at him from the other side of the corridor, at the very least ten meters between them. The corridor was also very wide, even more than three meters. The insignia of the uniform couldn't be seen properly, but it definitely wasn't the same that the scientists had. Such a mysterious lurker. He felt his guard rising in an instant. Right hand placed on the handle of his sword. No offenses were made by either side yet. "Hey. Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?" he questioned the other male with a booming voice, a look of discontent on his face.

A voice caused Hans to tense up as he slowly turned around to see a man in white and black, opposite of the German -- a specially ranked Shinigami from the looks of it because of the extra layer of clothing. But all is not lost as he was in proximity of his explosive liquid. With a snap of a finger as a symbolized coup d'grace. It was in that instant that the Shinigami's feet were blown off but the shin was left intact. It was nothing but chunks of meat at this point, the feet that is. A semblance of pity existed in Hans that made him not kill the young man. At least in standards of Hans's age that the Shinigami Captain was young. Even if he saw him, it would ruin the stealth mission's purpose and would expose him, he must delay the enemy as much as possible.

It was in that instant that it had flung Tetsuya back, footless and the Hakama to the lowest had caught on fire. It was no explosions close to Hans's proximity for harm anyways, but it was just a controlled and specified one specifically at Tetsuya... specifically so. Upon doing so, he would alert the Shinigami around, so in that instant, Hans would turn back and face the window as the pressure of the explosion caused him to budge with only a step back earlier, leaping outside. His feet touching the ground as if he was a cat, barely scathed if not he wasn't at all.

Pulling out one of the Kido guns as he would see the guards having caught glimpse, Hans would aim the gun right at them, and pull the trigger with the concentrated Kido blasting forth right at the guards. Somehow the explosion of Kido causing splash damage at the distanced guards, and incinerating both of the witnesses by exploding on one that was close to the other, killing both like two birds with one stone ideal. Hans leaps over a wall that got him out of the 12th Division compound, quickly sprinting away before anymore guards would make way as he saw a T-intersection in front of him that he planned to use, willing for an explosion of his liquid to once more blow up an entire section of the Shinigami research building that left the inventions to give way to an even larger explosion that vaporized all inventions, and pretty much screwed up the communication and corrupted some scientific data as a result. But it had blown Tetsuya further back if not would give him a concussion, but only because of the Bounto's will to spare, a rare display of mercy from the normally ruthless man, perhaps they'll just slap a prosthetic on the Shinigami in white anyways, which assures that he hadn't done much harm to the youngling.

He was awfully too far for such an explosion to harm him anyways, at this point, standing at the T-intersection as he looked left and right, thinking on where to go next. Sprinting quickly to the right as he looked back to see no traces of Shinigami pursuit, but rather he would reckon that they came from another corridor to get to the lab. Kido gun in hand and ready to be shot at any moment, well Kido gun #1 Hans would dub them mentally so.

What. The. Hell. Was what Tetsuya was thinking at that moment. No, he wasn't even thinking anymore. The puddle that he noticed, but failed to completely walk away from was indeed something out of this world. The explosion caused by this mysterious liquid coming as a complete surprise. Powerless to change his fate, he was now lying against the wall. Especially after the second explosion happened, hurting him even worse. Having lost almost half of both of his feet and suffered some blunt trauma. A feeling of despair lingering in his mind. He was still too weak, even after having come this far. This helplessness reminding him of the day when it all ended for him. He was falling, falling gradually to his demise. A sharp pain ringing where his feet once were. Like they were still there. But he could barely see it through his blurred eyes, the blood gradually dripping down. "Dammit. Dammit... Damn it all! Not again", he cursed to himself in silence, hitting his fist against the floor twice as he finally came to. Yet, this was not the end of it. He was reminded of the pain of his past. A flare now burning inside of his eyes once more. The determination to live on and catch the culprit.

Time had slown down for the young Captain. Seconds had passed since the explosion and now he was back in the game, only having suffered some damage. His feet weren't bleeding that much, the flames of the explosions having burned his wounds enough to actually prevent further flow of blood. But he knew that this situation could prove even fatal, if he didn't get treated right away. Now furiously sweeping at his hakama with both of his hands. The flames it had caught soon vanishing, as he also washed his reiatsu violently over it. Running could be heard. Many of the scientists there had been alarmed. "Heh, just my luck", he groaned with a motivated tone, now lying on his stomach. Using his hands to forcefully crawl away from the ruined storage. His progress was smooth and steady. Biting his lip to wash the pain away, as futile as it was. But he couldn't give up here, no way in hell. He would just have to move on and get better. And avoid making foolish mistakes like these in the future. Taking a rest as some of the staff of the 12th Division stopped by him. Four stronger staff members carrying a stretcher for him.

He quickly whispered for the people to bring him to the 4th Division for a quick healing. He knew that the pros could fix even lost limbs if done quickly enough. Also giving them details on the intruder. "Ugh. I have no idea on who this guy is. He definitely isn't a normal Shinigami. He looks like a middle-aged man with slicked back black hair. Most likely has a patch or something on his head. I couldn't see him properly. I suspect he set off that explosion somehow... Send hell butterflies to all of the Captains", he whispered with an extremely annoyed voice, before his group disappeared in a flash of shunpo. Off, towards the Fourth Division they went. What a failure, all because of one large puddle.

It was then Hans realized it was time to best lay low, as he was running along the right way of the T-intersection earlier, Hans stops abruptly, and springs his legs down before up, leaping over to his left as he had found himself in an alleyway that he would further sprint towards, taking his time in sneaking past patrols that are going towards the explosion, and then timing it so that he leaps across walls in the intervals of Shinigami rushing to the scene of the explosion, and finally having gotten out of the perimeter of the area. Basically leaving the 'quarantined' area where suspects would be detained and questioned. The cover of night practically making the German invisible, and his lack of Reiatsu emissions very hard to track as he left the area to go elsewhere in this cover of night to a darkened and dimmer area of Seireitei, sprinting along still to a place differing until he went off to hide. Situations were getting too hot anyways.
